Convocation is the official academic welcome to the university for new students and their families. MarComm works with the Convocation Office to communicate the event’s focus on class unity.

Strategy
Each year, the Convocation Office produces the Convocation event and MarComm partners with the office in communicating the event’s significance. Our strategy is to assist in welcoming new students to WashU in an integrated and meaningful way, through storytelling, video and photography.
Digital
Our online support includes news and social media promotion and coverage and photography.
Video
Our multimedia team supports the event’s telecast and produces short videos capturing the celebratory nature of the event. Watch past Convocation videos.
