Claire Gauen

Senior Associate Editor, Washington Magazine

As a senior associate editor for Washington Magazine, I collaborate with writers, editors and designers to showcase the incredible stories of WashU alumni, faculty and students. The magazine reaches alumni and community members around the world through three print issues and three digital-only issues per year.

Before joining University Marketing and Communications, I served as editorial manager for Arts & Sciences at WashU. I hold a master’s degree in history and museum studies from UMSL and bachelor’s degrees in English and American culture studies from Kenyon College.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time running around parks and playgrounds with my two young kids, Quinn and Eliot; dreaming up home improvements with my husband, Mark; and eating entirely too much Thai takeout.
